Strider Cup

Strider Cup races are the highest level national Strider sanctioned races that give small children and people with special needs a chance to put their Strider Balance Bike skills to the test at several stops across the USA and worldwide. These unique Strider organized and operated events cater directly to children 2-5 years old who want to experience the thrill of racing. Children of all sizes and skill levels are welcome to participate. STRIDER No-Pedal Balance Bikes are developed for both learning the ropes of riding and honing advanced skills in racing. The 2017 Strider Cup culminates with Strider Cup World Championship which this year is in Salt Lake City Utah on July 22nd (with mandatory packet pickup on July 21st).

Allegheny Cycling Association Criterium Race Series

The Allegheny Cycling Association (ACA) is a Pittsburgh-based, USAcycling-registered bicycle racing club that provides road bike, mountain bike and cyclocross racing opportunities in Western Pennsylvania. The ACA is made up of approximately 150 men and women from Western Pennsylvania, Eastern Ohio, Northern West Virginia and Western Maryland and consists of USAC-licensed riders, coaches and mechanics as well as non-licensed riders and supporters. A Board of Directors consisting of elected officers, elected board members and USCF officials determines the ACA's policies. The year 2017 is the ACA's 46th Anniversary and 47th Racing Season.

2 Divisions will be offered per age group. An Elite Division and an Open Division. For Organizations that have multiple teams, you will register your top team in the Elite Division and your other Teams in the Open Division. Tour de Donut Bike Tour

June 3 @ 8 a.m.

Online registration is now open for New Wilmington’s second annual Tour de Donut Bike Tour on Saturday, June 3. Check-in and festivities will begin at 8 a.m. at Westminster College’s Memorial Field House. Pre-registration is $20 per rider and guarantees a limited edition t-shirt and goodie bag. Cyclists of all ages and levels may choose from 10-, 30-, or 60-mile tours. In addition to Apple Castle’s famous donuts, water, Gatorade, and fruit will be provided before, during, and after the tour. The Tour de Donut features a voluntary donut eating challenge at various points throughout the Amish country ride. A donut medallion will be awarded to all riders who consume 12 donuts throughout their ride. Riders under the age of 12 will receive a medallion for eating six or more donuts. Gluten-free options are available. Options for a bagged lunch from the Dirty Pickle for $10 and a safety check by Bicycles & More professionals are also available. 2017 Pittsburgh Walk to Cure Arthritis brings together more than 1,000 participants who are fundraising to find a cure for the nation’s #1 cause of disability. Taking place on Saturday, June 3, at SouthSide Works (Pittsburgh, PA), the Walk includes fun activities for all participants and a beautifully scenic 1-mile, 2-mile and 3-mile walking course. Bantam Jeep Muddy 5K

Voodoo Throwdown Powered by Arsenal Strength

Voodoo Brewery and Arsenal Strength are teaming up to bring you the First Annual Voodoo Throwdown Powered by Arsenal Strength. Prepare yourself for the most intense combination of bells and brews Pittsburgh has ever seen. This CrossFit competition will feature 30 teams of two same-sex partners battling through a grueling course that will require great strength and endurance. This event is not for the faint of heart. Competition begins at 9am. Registration is $150 per team (ticket link above) and includes a complimentary draft beer as well as a limited edition T-shirt (free admission for block party). One ticket admits both team members. All proceeds will go to benefit local charities.

The workouts will be held both within the fire hall and on the basketball court across from Voodoo. There will also be an athlete village. Workouts will be consistent with the WODs featured in this year's CrossFit Open. More detailed descriptions will be announced in the weeks leading up to the Throwdown. We will have both an RXD and a scaled division. Each team will compete in three guaranteed WODs. The top two teams in each division will compete head-to-head in the final WOD to decide the winner!

In addition to the competition, there will be a block party starting at noon on the street outside of Voodoo Brewery Homestead, complete with tasty eats from Blue Sparrow, Pittsburgh Po' Boy, and Sugar & Spice, Voodoo Brewery Foodoo Truck and plenty of beer from Voodoo Brewery. Live entertainment provided by DJ Joey Deasey. No charge to attend the block party. Spectators are encouraged to come cheer on the athletes!
